The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Roche de Bellene is a top-tier estate. Its founder, Nicolas Potel, crafts some of the most sensual wines in Burgundy. With very old vines, meticulous winemaking that respects each vineyard’s unique character, and subtle ageing techniques, every detail is finely tuned to produce wines of remarkable depth and precision, with genuinely expressive and generous fruit.

The current level of quality is nothing short of extraordinary, and Olivier Poussier is enthusiastic about each of these wines. Even the regional wines reflect an impressive commitment to excellence.
Wine Brimming with freshness and finesse, the 2022 Burgundy Pinot Noir Red bursts with vibrant red berry aromas—think raspberry and morello cherry—enhanced by a very discreet touch of oak. The palate is elegant and well-ripened, with juicy, finely sculpted flavors and silky tannins. This wine stands out for its harmony and easy-drinking charm. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Fermented with indigenous yeasts. Aged in wood: 80% in demi-muids and 20% in 228-liter barrels. 100% alcoholic fermentation. No fining, light filtration.
